About Oded Wagenstein
Oded Wagenstein (1986) is a social documentary photographer and author.
Graduated in Sociology, Anthropology, and Film, from Tel Aviv University.
In his work, he explores the themes of Aging, Longing, and Memory through the eyes of seniors.
His images and articles have been published in numerous international platforms, both in print and digital, such as the BBC, National Geographic, and National Geographic Traveler. He published three books.
He has been working recently with JDC-ESHEL, part of a global NGO advocating for the elderly. Through this collaboration, he hopes to use the power of photography to create a better ground for intergenerational understanding and bond.
He is also a senior lecturer at the largest photography school in the Middle East (Galitz School of Photography), where he teaches thousands of students, both Jews and Muslims to use their cameras as a bridge between them and as a personal platform to share their stories, hopes, and fears.
