Olga Rerbo was born in 1992 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, and grew up in Belarus, where she first discovered photography. In 2015 she emigrated to Israel, and in 2023 began a new chapter in Australia, where she is now based in Brisbane.
Her work centres on film-based female portraiture — self-portraits and intimate images of people close to her. She documents her own life as it unfolds: travel, relationships, the body, motherhood, and loss. Each photograph is an attempt to hold onto a fading moment — to maintain a connection with places left behind, people who have departed, and versions of herself that no longer exist.
