My name is Patrick Hofmann, I'm 32 years old and come from Dresden, Germany. I'm an amateur photographer. However, it feels wrong to call photography just a hobby. It is so much more than that. It is my passion.
In the past, I mostly photographed empty spaces and architecture. I always tried to keep people out of my photos. I took pictures early in the morning, sometimes with exposure times of several minutes - just to create silence in my pictures.
Now I'm a street photographer and of course my photography has changed a lot. Nevertheless, I have remained true to my photographic roots. Even in street photography, my primary goal is to create silence and clarity. That's why I try to isolate people and give them context.
