Paul Preece is a photographer and research scientist based in Oxford, England.
He was born in a mining village in Wales and has lived in Spain, Los Angeles and London. He initially trained as a neuroscientist and has published scientific papers on the pathology of Alzheimer's Disease.
His interest in photography was born in a time when toxic chemicals and darkened rooms were the norm. He began with black and white street photography in the late 1970s, evolved into large format landscape and architecture and has recently returned full circle to his first love of the streets.
