About Pavle Kovac

Born in Sarajevo in 1966, fascinated by the camera his father gave him at the age of ten, he took his first serious steps in photography at the end of the seventies. He developed his photographic knowledge and improved his black-and-white darkroom technique in high school and later, during his studies, in university laboratory. In the early nineties, his professional career took him first to France and later to the Netherlands, Indonesia, Angola, Yemen, Qatar, Denmark and all over the Balkans. In all these countries, he continued his photographic activity, trying to capture interesting faces in the streets and the most typical details of their natural environments, thus bringing other cultures closer to his audience.
