About Pepa Georgieva

I was born in 1975 in Lom, a small town in Bulgaria. Since 2000 I live and work in Vienna, Austria.
I developed a passion for photography at the early age of 14 when I was 1st year „fine arts“ at the School of Fine Arts and Foreign languages in Bulgaria. I always wanted to play guitar and for my 14th birthday my wish for a gift was to get one. Unfortunately, there was none available at the moment and I chose an analog Smena 8M.

This was love at first sight.
Me and The Photography. For life.

My images are inspired by the natural environment and by people in their own universe. In search of new possibilities of visual expression, I use elements of Fine Art, light painting and a wealth of colours and forms, and apply them to my art. I enjoy experimenting with analog photographic films and creative cameras like Holga 120 and Pinhole.

I love to explore the phenomenon human being. What really forms him, his impulses, his desires, where his heart and soul drift him to. I look for moments that touch the heart.
