About Pete Sembler

Pete’s father gave him a Nikon SLR for his first road gig, not as a photographer, but as a musician with the Broadway show “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”. After three months of one nighters with the show across the US he has been making pictures ever since, allowing him to document the people, stories, and places that have been an inspiration on his journey through a musical life.

Pete earned a music performance degree at New England Conservatory of Music. As a freelance trumpet player he has toured with Broadway Shows, and performed at Jazz and Blues Festivals throughout the world. From 1989 through 2020 he worked in advertising for Keyboard and TV Technology magazines and websites.

Pete mentored with Sam Abell from 2014 - 2017.
