About Pierrick BOFFY

I am a 35 years old French analog photographer, and a black & white addict. I run into photography during my graphic design studies in Paris and, at this time, I had not any camera. So I chosen to use my father's old silver camera.

The stress and the unknown about the latent image on the undevelopped film and then the magic of developping and printing processes were a true eye-opener. I'm not comfortable with the instantness of digital cameras, for me photography is a 3 parts experience: an encounter (through the viewfinder), a memory (the latent image) and a reunion (the developped image).

Even today, I am only using analog cameras to keep this link in making photographs.
