Pita J. Samayoa is a Multimedia Journalist covering social issues with a focus on Latino community. Since graduating from Arizona State University she has worked from mainstream television news to grassroots community radio stations in the Valley. As a bilingual journalist Pita is a contributing writer for both Spanish and English publications and is currently working on an episodic web series about DREAMers and is co-producing her first documentary about healthcare within the immigrant community in Phoenix, AZ. Pita's journalistic instinct and story selection is what has taken her career into a diverse selection of media. Her main goal as a journalist is to tell compelling stories that will engage all audiences enough to open dialogue on important issues.
