The Rohinyga
Project info

The Rohingya people of western Myanmar have been a prosecuted people for many decades. Most of them are denied citizenship and basic human needs. In June and October 2012, deadly intercommunal violence broke out in Rakhine State between Buddhist Rakhines and Muslim Rohingya, forcing 140 000 Rohingya to leave their home. Thirty thousand are now living in squalid, disease-ridden IDP camps on the outskirts of Sittwe.
