I am a fine art photographer. My work explores feminine identity and the passage of time. My style is characterized by photographing miniature scenes composed of dolls, plaster figures and sculpted forms. The photographs, which are just a touch removed from reality — are meant to be surreal and give off an air of mystery.
"Through the Shadows of Home" explores my feeling of separation and loss after selling my family home. When my father died in October 2012, my sisters and I had to sell our family home. We grew up in that house and it held all of my childhood memories. It also held memories of my parents who were both gone now. So I decided to build a miniature replica of the house and use this house in my next photographic series.
