Combining three of my passions, mountain, dance and photography, I started a project called "Digital Orogenesis".
I wanted to capture a pixel trace of the body movement while it is drawing the mountain range.
This movement of the body creates a glitch in the software that constructs a countermould of the mountain itself in black pixels.
Orogenesis is described as "a process in which a section of the earth's crust is folded and deformed by lateral compression to form a mountain range". Just as that, I fold the surface of the pixel until another mountain is formed: a process of digital Orogenesis.
