For this series I was focusing on the inner side of the person I was portraying as well as the artistic and technical side of the process. I invite people to undress and wear this renaissance collar, they put make up on if they wish and and I engage in a long conversation, I ask them to free themselves and to let their deepest desires and troubles come out. Since the Polaroid requires a certain time for the mise en place, that gives me and them the time to let go. Photos are shoot in studio with a modified Polaroid SX-70 that allows me to use strobes, so I have almost full control on the image.
