Movements of Souls
Souls only exist in the continuous flow of life. Encounters between them are an immanent movement that transform their nature and their expression like the water flow transforms colors and shapes creating something completely new and unrepeatable, yet somehow recognizable as preexisting, a transcendent pattern.
I studied for a long time the effect of flowing water over colored solid object I placed in the rivers and the result was conformed by almost each experiment: in each sequence I shoot there is something in the movement of colors that goes beyond mere coincidence of aesthetic beauty and implies a revelation of a meaning. Like a story told by images that I was entrusted to see and testify.
These 10 diptych are composed by two different photos shot in sequence. All shots are taken in natural environment such as mountain rivers, using natural lightening exclusively.
