On the concept of "the other side" of things or people. "The other faces" of reality or of ourselves, recontextualising and giving new meaning to images and supports.
Old photos on reverse, showing inscriptions, stains, numbers and remains of glue and paper from the photoalbums ( an other kind of memory, different from the image of the other side ) ... they are re-glued together onto a woodboard as a new photographic surface.
After that, I develop with liquidphotographicemulsion a new image from old negative film of people who has been photographed from behind or in meditative attitude.
Reverse side on backside. Unseen faces...Hidden Memory...
With this work I want to reflect on the instability and unattainability of our memories.
