On the concept of the 'other side' of things or people; the 'other faces' of reality or of ourselves, re-contextualizing and giving new meaning to images and their supports.
The back of old photographs, showing inscriptions, stains, numbers and remains of glue and paper from photoalbums (an other kind of memory, different from the image of the 'other side'). They are re-glued together onto a woodboard as a new photographic surface.
After that, I develop a new image from old negative film of people photographed from behind, or in a meditative state, using liquid photographic emulsion.
Reverse side on the backside. Unseen faces... Hidden Memory...
With this work I want to reflect on the instability and unattainability of our memories.
