This series is about shipyards, here about the docks of Blohm+Voss, once one of the biggest ones in the world. Normally it is a completely restricted area, but in 2012 I was happy to receive a permission to do a free work there. The clash of dimensions and proportions is overwhelming. This extract is about the interior walls of the docks covered by paint-testings, which became somehow involuntary abstract art. These murals were a continuation of wall-series In had done in the eighties, but this time in color and other dimensions.
