Suspended, vacant, held over; a place, a person, an object.
Transition between two states, two situations, two functions.
short, long, very long or permanent instant...

Linger on a pause, on a filled void, on a final, fleeting, intermediate state when the established order is challenged; the usual disappears and our representations bothered. Beyond a simple census of sites and buildings or a strict documentary approach, this serie shows sites, all of them on the verge of changing, in a "in between" moment towards a new beginning or a new end...

The filled and empty shells, the everchanging skies, the omnipresence of plants moving, changing, and evolving by defintion, insist of the transitional state depicted.

Beyond a mere collection of ruins, clues appear from time to time to give away potential futures. A sign, a board, a pile of rubble, a reflection revealing the surrounding context, a protective builder's fence, are promises of renewal, rehabilitation, upheavel ... But what's really going to happen? How could we be sure...
