Recently I felt the need to create a thematic, commentary, with the help of photography, which will make reference to today's society, as I understand it.
What is my position in society?
What is the position of others?
Before I begin to express my concerns that led me to the creation of this project, I would like to formulate a brief definition of the term society.
Society therefore means all the people living in a place or in a historical period. In an alternative definition as a society it is reported to be the time-consuming cooperative group, whose members develop organized patterns of relationships through their ongoing interaction.
Certainly this definition cannot be developed in three lines but we can already see many problems.
Through my work I tried to create images that make a reference to some of the problems I found in my everyday life through my interaction with other people. Alienation, antisocial spirit, marginalization, lack of leisure time, stagnation, lack of critical thinking.
These social phenomena distract people.
Man has lost communication.
Man has lost his interests.
So, I put man in wooden structure I created. I identified this construction with my personal space.
The concept of space, however, in general in physics is called the environment that is inextricably linked to the idea of distance in three dimensions (length, width and height). Frame selection is deliberate as the dimensions are easily distinguishable for the viewer. Because everything moves not only in space but also in time, time is considered the fourth dimension of space.
So the four most recent dimensions are called space-time or space-time continuous. For this reason, it is the use of the frame present in each image with the previous photo of the series. In this way the game of time (the fourth division of space) is created in real terms though.
These images wanted to shape not only a person's living environment but also to form an excursion to the psychic landscape if they could describe it. These photographs have tried to become increasingly dark and mysterious as they move deeper into the psychological background of social alienation, personal alienation and loneliness.
The bright light that invades the images on the left side of the frame represents the outside world, yet there is nowhere any window from which the light enters.
Man shows an indifference to the actions of society, the common, all the events that occupy him, but he closes his eyes and barks at them. It is lost in the information without critical thinking. He learns to be alone without looking for companionship and chooses to waste his life on things that lead him to mental stagnation. It is marginalized by losing time it is so valuable for its evolution.
After all;
This is the pattern of his life after all.
