West Texas Cutting Competition

Each year, ranch families gather to participate in a cutting competition that displays the athleticism and intelligence of their horses as they isolate or cut a cow from the herd and keep it from returning. The competition is more than that, though. This series of images also portrays the values of the Texas ranching culture: faith, family, friendship, pride, and hard work.
