Reflections on Landscape Photography

Since 2015, I've been working on this series in which I put different mirrors in different landscapes, to create an extra layer in the picture and its interpretation. The mirrors invite to reflect and look closely. Working on the series gives me more of a focus, and above all it enables me to create my own individual photo's instead of just registering what is already there. Since the initial idea, I have collected several mirrors and usually I have one or two with me on a trip. Depending on the mirror shape and the landscape surrounding it, the effect varies from a visual pun to a magical glimpse into a another world. Also the association with a planet is often made. Underneath, the series is about consciousness regarding nature and a better world.
