Submission

The collection of photographs is a digest of portraits taken at my wet plate portrait studio. Faces of the sitters in silent timelessness, the esthetics of imperfection inherent in the antique photography process in contrast to the multitude of detail in the large-format image and the clarity of its digital reproduction. Wet plate collodion as both the means and a subject of photographic interpretation.
