This series of images was taken in Hamburg along the river Elbe near the harbour during the winter months. It’s embracing the beauty that comes with these harsher weather conditions. Overexposure is used as a tool to emphasise these and to reduce the view of it’s surroundings further and to focus without further distractions.
Normally, I feel most inspired for my photography by new places while travelling. This project was therefore also a challenge to revive the fascination for places that I have repeatedly visited throughout my life, often since childhood.
