Real News Starts Here Address the people, We the people, young and old, in states of despair, in moments of solitude, in times of joy with family and friend. Our news must be heard. Hear us as we speak our truths, as we struggle, as we strive to better our lives. Address the people for real news starts with us. Listen to us as we tell you about our lives, the daily struggles, our families and communities. What we need to do for them, what we have done and how much all this matters. Listen to our prayers so that we know they count. Above all do not forget us or speak wrongly of our citizenship. We are a community, a nation, a brother and a sister. We stand together and strive to speak up for with our voice, with our news, We CAN address the people, We CAN do this Together because the Real News Starts Here And Now With Us! These photographs represent people striving to better their lives and the lives of others in their communities. As a photographer, I feel a responsibility to look and understand that within each photographic portrait I take of someone, in each photograph other photographers take of people, there are a myriad amount of moments in their lives they have struggled with. These moments are quietly or doggedly apparent when I look closely. The moments are a mosaic aperture of light speaking to us about others. I want to hear the messages they hold. Susy Andrea Kamber
