Every year in the city of Rome from the end of autumn and mid-spring, many circus families stop off. They offer shows for all the children and their families. Most of them are minor circuses with a large number of unknown and sometimes under-talented artists. Often embarrassingly, the shows have so little public that they don't even cover the cost of feeding the animals. Once, I witnessed a show with only 24 spectators: it was dramatic! But this is the life they have chosen and from eternal wanderers, they try in some way to recreate an idea of a lost world that inflames our fantasies and memories of children.
