Decay

All we have is just the present moment, nothing is permanent. Derelict buildings reflect the spirit of their time and remind us of how fragile and transient life is. The buildings also show us what we consider important as humans: may it be power, pleasure, distraction or pure function. Although their beauty, splendor as well their use constantly fade, we are sometimes able to catch a glimpse of their opulent past - and find another kind of beauty in decay.
