Across the border, perhaps better

For some people, the migration begins from an early age. Asking for a better tomorrow through the Greek educational system, every year Albanian children come to attend the Multicultural High School of Kozani Pentalofos and reside in a student house for at least six years.
Away from their families, these students are obligated, in addition to the language barrier , to adapt to a different cultural environment. This special society, of fifty, requires immigrants to tries hard, with the help from their teachers, to open the windows of knowledge, to unlock the doors of communication and to build bridges that unite. The teachers’ main objective is to temper the absence of the family and to keep the hope for a better future, alive while educating.
