VELATURAS

During a trip to Israel in 2018, visual artist Helena Teixeira Rios visited the cities of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Acre, Haifa, Safed, Masada and Nazareth – Helena perceived that the photographs she had obtained in Israel were like a clay to be modeled. She saw that an action of intervention would be necessary to turn them into a visual instance and narrative able to express the emotions she had experienced in that territory.
