Finnish Teens is a photo series about identity, change and the desire to find your own place in this world.
While photographing the series I was really lost with my own life and identity because the sudden death of my big brother.
Most of the young people in these photographs are still living with their parents, while their own identity is rapidly changing at the same time, so that serious conflicts can arise with the value systems of their childhood homes. –The young person’s own wings don't carry them yet, even though the rage to get out into the world is already burning strong.
This is a story about waiting. Waiting to find yourself again.
