Trees From Another Era

I always wanted to photograph these Bristlecone Pine Trees, the oldest living beings on Earth that reproduce with seeds. I wanted to feel their 5000 years and everything this represents for the history of civilization. It was a difficult place to go but I felt like never before when in contact with these venerable trees. The challenge of being there as well as the beauty of these trees led me to produce highly contrasted black and white photograph where the trees would shine !
