While traveling in India, I took the opportunity to travel to Kashmir and Jammu. That was a few month before India revoked its constitutional status.
I was deeply saddened by the feeling of a province being locked down and inhabitants having a feeling of belonging to Pakistan, on a political, religious and cultural point of view.
Every monument, public, religious or institutional, was surrounded by barbwire - symbol of human's imprisonment.
This view summed up the feeling I had there, with birds being one of the main symbols of freedom, sat on barbwire.
