Me and my father

"Me and my father" is a story about the relationship between my father and I. We have always had a very close relationship to each other. One year ago, he had a major heart attack and for a long time, he hovered between life and death. In the weeks that he was in cardiac intensive care, I visited him daily, always with the knowledge that it could be for the very last time. During this period I went into a deep depression with a palpable feeling that my life was about to collapse. As if by a miracle my father survived, despite three heart surgeries carried out in just a few weeks. During my father's hospitalizations, we came together even closer and it became important for me to document my father with my camera. My father is now going on regular medical examinations, though his heart will always be very weakened. I always have a feeling that he might pass away soon and sometimes he gets sick again. I therefore visit my father as often as I can. Every day I can hear my father's voice makes me happy and grateful that he is still with me.
