This serie is a photographic investigation about Mexico City’s payphones.
A project that began during the Corona period, a time when many of us lived under restrictions or even quarantine.
Walking in the streets was a gift to me, combined with the opportunity to take pictures, it felt like a therapy.
These images are the result of my innocent vision as a foreigner in a new country, attracted by the way these payphones have been transformed: their condition, the way they have been tampered with, and the signs inside them are details that depict technological obsolescence lost on city streets, and how these obsolete booths find a new use, or just slowly destroy themselves.
