This work was born to tell the story of a character with images that we could call Pirandellian. He is "The man who lives alone" and who at times appears to come out of a short story by Luigi Pirandello. In defining the project, in this man's house and in the neighborhood in which he lives, I found a whole series of old images and objects from the 1950s and 1960s. I therefore abandoned my documentary idea of story a little and I dedicated myself to using all the material available, for the creation of a new story that pushes my photography boundaries. I created many collages in which the identity of the character merges and redefines itself in a new narrative. Nothing is more as it was originally intended, the images take on new identities in a new context, putting everything into question, breaking what seemed real and unchanging. In line with this concept, this result came out at times a bit crazy and very distant from the photographic style with which I grew up, almost to make it seem like everything was done by another photographer. But all this certainly has its own why!
