Percorso Visita is a sign often seen in Rome's tourist sites and it means "visitor's route". I stayed in Rome for three days and during that short period I didn't have the time for a deeper exploration of the city. I followed the visitor's route but I wasn't shooting the monuments and the sites as mostly everyone else, but the visitors themselves. We normally see the presence of tourists in our photographs as an annoyance that distracts us from getting a more authentic record of the place.
I decided instead of fighting against it, to make peace with their presence. At the same time I wanted to make a visual statement on the various forms that the interaction between the visitors and the city can take.
