Plan B was the beginning of the exhibition "Dreams, Memory and Hallucinations", curated by Eder Chiodetto in 2012.
This work tried to search the festive part in hallucinating, dreaming of memories that the time has stirred. Remembering changes our basic perceptions, we accommodate ourselves in what interests us. Thus we dream. No matter if we are awake or asleep, dreams make us hallucinate, this renews our memories.
After watching athletes pursuing their dream to stay a long time under water without breathing, and practicing myself their apnea techniques, where the heart rate decreases to the point of blackout, I wondered: What better time to hallucinate?
I decided to base my project on the idea that human beings can actually be several minutes under water without breathing. Maybe we could evolve to adapt to living some time in the water, like as our ancestors!.
Dream is a game. So this work plays to hallucinate, remembering our possibilities!
