My journeys in Uganda have opened my eyes to the fragility of the breathtaking wildlife that is fast disappearing due to human action. Simultaneously, being on the road, I get to see local communities in their everyday activities and how traditional communities are adjusting to the modern life style.
As I drove in the Murchison Falls National Park, the endangered animals living peacefully in their own environment seemed to have personality and special character. Having traveled in many corners of the world, there is nothing quite like entering the natural world and getting to see wildlife in its own environment. My photography tries to capture that special character and show something unique of each animal I encounter.
My road trips in Southwest Uganda, on the other hand, provide glimpses of rural communities acquiring modern technology and lifestyles, while holding on to their traditions. But, those traditions are slowly changing. The snapshots I take from my car attempt to capture moments of life in these communities.
