market day in St Laurent du Maroni French Guyana
Project info

I lived for several years in French Guyana, and my favorite town was always St Laurent du Maroni, located on the border close to Suriname.
This small town has a lot of diversity, between local creoles, Homong, French, Amerindians... and this would reflect on it's open air market, where twice a week, local producers would come over and sell there products. Fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, meat... everyone selling there had their specialty. It's also a place you could meet people, talk to everyone and enjoy a meal as well. An exciting place to be twice a wek.
