My portrait business was deemed 'non-essential' in March due to COVID-19. So, as a way to stay creative, I took my camera out to the streets and met some of the most vulnerable to the disease in an effort to tell their stories through my lens. I fell in love with this form of expression and found myself out everyday taking the opportunity to meet with people less fortunate then myself. Not long after, George Floyd's horrible murder took place, and I felt a strong need to help tell the true stories of how thousands of protesters were fighting for social justice and equality.
