Pink vs Pink
Project info

A beginning. A few days ago I was having dinner with two friends. They told me that every year in November they began to decorate their house with Christmas decorations and that they put a giant Christmas tree in the living room. One of my friends added that for Christmas as a child she always received a doll in a pink dress as a gift.

A thought. How gender stereotypes shape our lives so deeply.

The result. This is a series of fifteen black and white vernacular photographies. In all of them there is a Christmas tree. These images have been deliberately intervened by adding pink and orange colours. With the aim of destabilising gender stereotypes and cliches, I have coloured the male figures with pink.
