Sila is an in depth personal project, delving into the psychological space I have found myself to be in the past few years, and that has been intensified during the pandemic. I find myself lost, longing for quiet and calmness in the chaos that is in my mind. The project is made with black and white still images, produced every day, mostly between 10 pm and 4 am in New York, between March 15 and june 26, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Sila" project explores the relativity of our perceptions of reality.
Sila is a Pan-Inuit word with a variety of meanings including consciousness, the universe, the world, the weather, the air and the space outside.
