All buildings submitted here have been photographed at or just before the Australian sunrise. The pleasing light at dawn on industrial buildings demonstrates the hidden beauty of otherwise dilapidated structures. The project aims at highlighting the history and ephemeral nature of industries and their architecture. The buildings are transitioning or have transitioned. Their original robust build seems short-lived in the face of time. Their power and presence are swiftly lost through the changing tides of time. How much of a building remains, if all its traditional uses and activities are replaced? Can development save these structures? How much history can we retain?
