Visage Macabre (Faces of the Macabre)
Inspiration often comes from something seen and something felt. At a very young age, I was fascinated by the unblinking, frozen gaze of puppets, mannequins, and dolls. When looking closely, I felt an implied light shining forth from those vacant eyes, as if they were alive.
Visage Macabre is a visionary work that represents an awakening of imagery in my subconscious. Odd, riveting and mysterious, these faces of the macabre defy expectations and categorization. In life, things are not always what they appear to be; the first appearance can be deceptive. so look closely at these faces of the Macabre, because they are looking at you.
