While engaging in my craft I've found one consistent theory to be true. Light is life...from the sun shining down on earth all the way to cell phones glowing in your face. I believe light is the physical and emotional makings of a human being. For these reasons and more are why I find photography to be the most creatively satisfying art form for me. As a photographer I feel compelled to show the external light of the world but also the internal light of each person, and how it correlates with one another. With that said, my work is heavily influenced by the idea of late 19th century Pictorialism but even more by the process and result of early 20th century photography. I truly believe in what I shoot is what I get, no altering, because what I'm acquiring is magic.
