Weaving the Night Sky

By telecommunication, we can virtually teleport wherever we are. From this small island, Jeju, where I live, I can make a video call with a person on the other side of the earth and know what is happening there right now. Telecommunication indeed connects us wherever we are and whenever we need. You can instantly travel across the world through those electric cables intricately entangled. As I look up those power poles and countless wires over my head, as many as the number of stars that fill the night sky, I realize that it actually allows us to enjoy the benefits of the civilization. On the other side, it is also terrifying to know sometimes that can become a weapon against humanity and hurt our dignity. My hope is that the nature and technology created by humans would be harmonized and beautifully weaved together. This is why I started my project with the theme of ‘Weaving the Night Sky.
