Scent Stick

„I am 6000 miles from the country I was born, but I am certainly not 6000 miles from home.“ - this inspirational sentence from the speech of Queen Elisabeth II. in 1947 in Cape Town, as shown in episode 8, season 4 of the series The Crown speaks out loud my thought on „Home“. The pandemic, how it has impacted my life has made me realise what home means to me ultimately. I had always loved living Vietnamese traditions even though living abroad in a completely different culture, but only during this time, being trapped alone in my 40 sqm flat in Berlin, forced to learn self love and appreciate the here and now, I have become aware of its real essence. It gives me the needed inner strength to overcome burdens, loneliness, homesickness and enriches my soul with peace and calmness. It makes me feel I am home. The presented photo series has been taken in my flat in Berlin between March - April 2021.
