Life’s details overwhelm me, and I use the camera’s frame to distill them. I am greatly influenced by concepts of domesticity and the physical manifestations of “home” and often photograph the architectural and ordinary contents of domestic environments using both analog and digital approaches. Common domestic objects, such as bedding, clothing, and furniture, populate the images to convey a sense of familiar intimacy. While my figure is not always physically present, the images contain the residue of human activity, and the elements I photograph implicate my presence.
