A Day Long Dream
This series of self-portraits was created at home in Milan , Italy, between November 2020 and March 2021 due to the restrictions on personal freedom for the second wave of the pandemic. I made fun of my experiences using paper reproductions of ceramics by the artist Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988). The strict lockdown first and living in a "red zone" most of the year changed my perception of space and time. My mind was saturated with news, talk shows and TV series. Food became a reward. To overcome the monotony, I made the day a dreamlike experience. I owe everything to the iconic series of ceramics inspired by the face of the opera singer Lina Cavalieri (1875-1944) defined as "the most beautiful woman in the world".
