The Enigma of the Shadow

The enigma of the shadow suggests a state of introspection. Attentive to the concept of the domestic space and its limits, the gaze unfolds within a closed environment in an uncertain and unsteady time. This is reflected in a chiaroscuro game that accentuates the duality of light and shadow. The images resulting from this optical effect suggest that beauty is to be found within the ordinary which we overlook and rarely stop to observe. Our hasty lives and the vain distractions that we submit to don’t allow us to actually observe our surroundings and our inner selves. This project delves into to the understanding and widening of our perceptions within the confines of what we call home.
