What is home?
Home is part of our most intimate self. A place only very few people get to see. It is the back kitchen of our lives, where we resource, reconcile ourselves with the outside world. It is a place one has crafted, assembled, arranged over time and ressemble who we are and who we have been.
Home is where we have our most entrenched habits, where we let ourselves go, where we welcome others as we are and more often than not it is remote from social life symbolism or a place where we only let in its symbol we fully embrace.
As we have spent more time at home than at any precedent time, we have become more intimate with our own intimacy. I feel a strong sense of reconnection with myself and have rarely observed my own life as much as over the past 14 months.
More than ever before, my home has become a place that I inhabit. This is the feeling I aimed at conveying in these photographs: home is a place that we inhabit.
